Restriction on Uses of ATM Cards outside Maldives including India

Presently SBI Maldives ATM Cards are accepted at all MasterCard establishments in Maldives and India. However, due to perceived threat of misuse of ATM card outside Maldives, we are temporarily withdrawing the facility of automatic acceptability of our cards in India also, with immediate effect.

However, those customers who plan to travel to other countries i.e. other than Maldives can submit request to the bank and get their cards activated for international use, for the period of their travel or for a maximum period of 6 months whichever is lower.

The dully filled request form along with copy of the valid National ID Card/Work Permit can be submitted to the branch or scanned copies of the same may be sent to the e-mail atm.sbimale@statebank.com. On receipt of the captioned documents, the ATM Card activation will be arranged in 48 working hours.
